Access to essential medicines remains one of the most pressing challenges in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Millions of people are unable to afford basic treatments for preventable or manageable conditions such as infections, hypertension, diabetes, and maternal health complications. This affordability gap results in unnecessary suffering, loss of productivity, and thousands of avoidable deaths each year.
PMedEx aims to bridge this divide through a targeted fundraising and partnership initiative that will make high-quality, life-saving medicines affordable and accessible to underserved populations. Funds raised will support the production, procurement, and subsidized distribution of essential medicines across both urban and rural areas — particularly in communities most affected by poverty.
By partnering with investors, NGOs, and development agencies, PMedEx seeks to create a sustainable and scalable healthcare model that directly aligns with the DRC’s Universal Health Coverage (UHC) goals and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being).
